Criminal Lawyer – Kazandji Law (North York/Thornhill, ON)

Kazandji Law, a respected and growing criminal law firm located in North York, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Criminal Lawyer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key contributor to our expanding criminal law practice.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Criminal Law (applications with less experience will not be considered) Trial experience is MANDATORY
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Proficiency in legal software (Clio), Microsoft Word, and Outlook preferred

Who We’re Looking For:

- Junior to intermediate-level lawyer with a strong interest in Criminal Law
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple files

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage case files independently from start to finish
- Draft and review legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, pre-trial briefs, and affidavits. Pre trial motions particularly in sex assault cases (276,278 applications)
- Professionally consult and interact with clients
- Conduct examinations, mediations, motions, and other court procedures




- Appear frequently before the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice
- Demonstrate thorough expertise in criminal defence matters including charges, trials, and pleas
