Job title: Accountant

Salary: $65,000- $75,000 annually

Our client:
A large, multi-entity organization based in Vaughan, Ontario, is seeking an Accountant to support its accounting operations and financial reporting.

Principal tasks and responsibilities include:

- Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids and general ledger reconciliations.
- Complete month-end and quarter-end close activities accurately and within established deadlines.
- Prepare bank and intercompany reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve outstanding items.
- Support accounting and reporting across multiple entities and currencies.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and support lease accounting.
- Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and maintain accurate financial records.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting and efficiency through technology and automation.

Qualifications and pre-requisites:

- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or a related discipline.




- Approximately four to five years of relevant accounting experience, with strong Canadian or North American exposure.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and independent ownership of month-end close responsibilities.
- Experience in a mid-size or large organization with multi-entity and intercompany accounting.
- Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or another enterprise cloud ERP; Oracle Fusion is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence learning new systems.
- Experience with process improvement, automation or practical AI applications is an asset.
- CPA designation or progress toward completion is preferred.
- Clear communication skills, attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
