Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Service Technician to repair and maintain power tools for a leading tools manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical or electrical repairs and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The Service Technician will diagnose tool issues, perform repairs, conduct safety testing, and maintain an organized and efficient repair workstation.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair power tools using appropriate tools, equipment, and technical instructions.
- Review repair manuals, schematics, and technical documents to maintain and improve technical knowledge.
- Use hand scanners and computer systems to receive tools, diagnose issues, select spare parts, and document completed repairs.
- Perform high-quality repairs by identifying problems and applying the appropriate corrective measures.
- Conduct final functional and safety tests after each repair to ensure tools operate properly and safely.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workstation.
- Follow established repair procedures, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve repair processes, productivity, and cost efficiency.




- Maintain accurate repair records and follow established quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Experience in mechanical or electrical repairs.
- Ability to use hand tools and equipment to disassemble and reassemble power tools.
- Basic computer skills; experience with Windows applications preferred.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

- Work in a repair workshop setting that may involve noise, dust, and other airborne particles.
- Stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
- Perform repetitive reaching, bending, and climbing.
- Occasionally lift materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and safety gloves.
- Follow all applicable workplace safety regulations and company safety procedures.
