Simolo Customs Ltd. is a Canadian manufacturer of premium electric vehicles and is looking for a Mechanical Design Technician to join our team.
This position will work alongside our production and engineering teams to design new accessories and components while refining and maintaining our existing production drawings. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning ideas into real-world products and understands how design decisions affect manufacturing.
We welcome candidates who are early in their careers or recently graduated, as well as individuals with practical design experience who want to grow within a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Design components and accessories using Fusion 360
- Create and maintain production drawings and CAD files
- Work with the production team to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
- Assist with improving and refining existing designs and components
- Support prototyping and product development
- Maintain organized documentation of drawings and revisions
Qualifications
- Experience using Fusion 360 or similar CAD software
- Understanding of basic manufacturing and fabrication processes
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work collaboratively with a hands-on production team
- Recent graduates or early-career applicants are encouraged to apply
