Tax preparation is one of those jobs where knowing exactly what you’re doing is considerably more valuable than having an impressive-sounding title.

This opportunity is with an established Burlington CPA firm looking for someone who understands Canadian tax preparation and already knows their way around DT Max / Dr Tax.

It’s an in-office position, but there is flexibility around working hours, making it a good option for someone who enjoys being part of a team without necessarily wanting every working day to follow exactly the same schedule.

What you’ll be doing:

- Prepare personal tax returns
- Prepare corporate tax returns
- Work with supporting tax schedules and documentation
- Assist with year-end accounting files
- Follow up with clients for outstanding information
- Maintain accurate client records
- Work closely with senior accountants and Partners
- Support the wider team during tax season
- Ensure files are completed accurately and on time

What they’re looking for:

- Previous Canadian CPA firm experience




- Hands-on tax preparation experience
- Strong DT Max / Dr Tax experience
- Experience preparing T1 returns
- Corporate tax exposure would be valuable
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable communicating with clients
- Able to manage multiple deadlines
- Someone comfortable working in the office as part of a smaller team
