Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Welder/Fabricator Shop Supervisor to lead our fabrication team. This role combines hands-on welding and fabrication expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties

- Oversee daily shop operations, managing welding and fabrication workflows to meet project deadlines
- Supervise and mentor team members, promoting safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Perform welding tasks using MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) techniques on various materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication
- Operate machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
- Coordinate with the team on rigging procedures, crane operations, and assembly tasks for complex projects
- Maintain a protected work environment by enforcing safety protocols related to welding, machining, rigging, and equipment use

Skills





- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding with a strong understanding of welding codes and standards
- Estimate costs and materials
- Prepare bids
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery operation including plasma cutters, press brakes, forklifts, and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in rigging techniques for lifting heavy components safely using cranes or other lifting devices
- Experience with machining processes such as using calipers for measurements and precision fitting
- Knowledge of repair fabrication/welding and basic construction experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and assembly processes in a shop setting

Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
