Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital marketing and a deep understanding of social media platforms. This role involves developing and implementing effective social media strategies to enhance our brand presence, engage our audience, and drive awareness of our programs.

The position is primarily remote and offers an opportunity to contribute your skills to a faith-based organization while gaining practical experience in social media management.

Duties

- Develop, implement, and coordinate social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn.
- Create engaging content that reflects the organization's mission, values, and brand messaging.
- Brainstorm and develop faith-based posts and content ideas.
- Compile and edit program footage into engaging videos and other social media content.
- Conduct basic SEO and keyword research to improve content visibility.
- Monitor social media engagement, brand mentions, and relevant industry trends.
- Assist with Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns to increase reach and engagement.




- Support public relations initiatives, including coordinating relationships with influencers and media outlets where appropriate.
- Proofread and review content for accuracy, quality, and consistency with organizational guidelines.
- Stay informed about social media trends, digital marketing practices, and content creation techniques.
- Collaborate with the social media team to plan and publish content in alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements

- Experience in social media management or digital marketing is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and their content formats.
- Alignment with the organization's Christian mission and values.
- Strong content creation skills, with an interest in branding and storytelling.
- Familiarity with SEO, keyword research, and web analytics is an asset.
- Experience in public relations or relationship management is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with video editing tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a remote team.
- Positive written communication skills in English.
