We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. Fluency in both French and English is essential to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in pharmacy settings, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and a passion for patient care and medication management.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries in both French and English
- Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and transactions
- Support patient care activities, including medication administration guidance under supervision
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards within the pharmacy environment
- Manage administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and documentation
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required
- Prior experience in hospital or pharmacy assistant roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Robust attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Certification or training as a pharmacy assistant is a plus but not mandatory
