Butcher / Meat Counter

We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join a halal grocery and meat store in Langley.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a butcher shop or meat department. Experience with halal meat preparation and customer service is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities include:

- Cutting, preparing, packaging, and displaying meat products
- Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards in the meat department
- Marinating and preparing meats
- Assisting customers with meat selections and special requests
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Monitoring product freshness and expiry dates
- Maintaining a clean and organized store
- Operating the cash register when required
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Assisting with general day-to-day store operations

Qualifications:

- Previous butcher,



meat cutting, grocery, or food retail experience needed
- Experience working with halal meat is an asset
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
- Robust customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable lifting boxes and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
