Job Summary

The ECE Level 3 Daycare Guide is a vital member of our early childhood education team, responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging workplace for young children. This role involves implementing educational activities, supporting children's developmental needs, and fostering positive relationships with children and families. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for early childhood education. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to better serve diverse communities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's growth and learning.

Duties

- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Supervise children during daily routines, including playtime, meals, naps, and learning sessions
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and safety
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members regarding progress and concerns
- Document children's developmental milestones and daily activities using computer systems




- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and implement best practices in early childhood education
- Uphold licensing standards and safety regulations at all times to ensure a secure environment for children

Qualifications

- Valid certification in Early Childhood Education (Level 3 or higher)
- Experience working with children in a classroom or daycare setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and special education needs
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Proficiency in computer operation, including documentation software and educational tools
- Leadership qualities with the ability to guide children positively and foster teamwork among staff
- Childcare experience combined with a genuine passion for early childhood education is essential

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
