Wood Concepts Ltd. is looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our team as a General Labourer, with a strong focus on colour matching, staining, spraying, and finishing wood products.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in producing a high-quality finished product. Experience in woodworking, millwork, furniture finishing, cabinetry, or automotive/industrial finishing is an asset.

Staining & Finishing Responsibilities

A significant part of this position will involve the preparation and finishing of our wood products, including:

- Colour matching stains and finishes to existing flooring, mouldings, and other wood products
- Mixing and adjusting stains and finishes to achieve the required colour and tone
- Preparing wood surfaces for staining and finishing, including sanding and ensuring surfaces are clean and properly prepared
- Applying stains and finishes using our industrial spray booth and spray equipment
- Developing consistent colour and finish across individual pieces and larger production runs
- Inspecting finished products for colour consistency, coverage, smoothness, and overall quality
- Making adjustments to stains, finishes, and application techniques when necessary
- Properly cleaning and maintaining spray equipment and the spray booth
- Following proper procedures for handling, mixing, and storing stains, finishes, and other finishing products
- Maintaining a clean, organized,



and safe finishing area

Previous spray finishing experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person who has a good eye for colour, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience with staining, colour matching, spraying, or finishing is an asset
- Experience using a spray booth or spray equipment is an asset
- Woodworking, millwork, cabinetry, furniture finishing, or similar experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for colour
- Reliable and punctual with a robust work ethic
- Able to follow instructions and maintain consistent quality
- Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and finishing techniques
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
- The shop can get hot during the summer months so must be ready for working in warmer conditions.

Wage: $16–$25/hour, depending on experience
Position: Part-time or Full-time
