We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled Millwork Draftsman & Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design concepts, production, and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for translating architectural design intent into precise shop drawings for residential custom millwork, managing client communications, and performing critical on-site measurements and site visits across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Detailing

Prepare comprehensive, production-ready millwork shop drawings (plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, and hardware specifications) using AutoCAD / Microvellum (or equivalent software).

Work from architectural/interior design drawings, sketches, and site dimensions to produce accurate manufacturing packages.

Maintain strict adherence to Ontario building standards, materials tolerances, and millwork construction methods.

Site Visits & Field Verification

Travel to client sites (residential job sites) to conduct thorough field measurements and site evaluations.

Perform site check-ins to monitor project progress, verify rough-in conditions, and ensure site readiness before installation.

Identify and resolve potential layout conflicts in office prior to fabrication.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, interior designers, general contractors, and site supervisors regarding shop drawing approvals and design clarifications.

Present shop drawings to clients for review, gather feedback, and implement revisions efficiently.





Maintain clear and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle to ensure client expectations are met.

Project Coordination

Collaborate closely with production managers, installers, and shop hands to ensure a seamless transition from drawing to installation.

Assist in material call-outs, hardware selection, and shop drawing revisions based on site conditions or manufacturing feedback.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 3–5+ years of experience drafting custom residential millwork, cabinetry, or architectural woodwork in North America (Ontario market experience preferred).

Software Proficiency: Strong expertise in AutoCAD (Microvellum or Cabinet Vision is a strong plus).

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of cabinet construction, joinery methods, hardware systems (Blum, Hafele, etc.), and material properties (TFL, veneers, solid wood, stone clearances).

Field Skills: Hands-on experience performing precise laser site measurements and navigating residential construction sites.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; comfortable presenting drawings directly to homeowners, interior designers, and contractors.

Driver’s License: Valid Ontario G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for site visits.

Problem-Solving: Strong spatial reasoning and the ability to troubleshoot design/site discrepancies proactively.

Pay: $48,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
