Job Title:Welder / Fabricator (MIG & Stick) – In office & Shop

Job Description : We are a growing steel fabrication and welding company looking for a skilled, reliable Welder / Fabricator to join our team. This role involves a mix of shop fabrication and on-site structural welding/installation. The ideal candidate is highly independent, safety-conscious, and possesses strong layout and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform high-quality MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding on structural steel components, tubing, and plates.
- Travel to various job sites to perform on-site welding, modifications, and structural installations.
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and welding symbols to plan layouts and assemblies.
- Operate shop equipment safely (grinders, saws, torches, and overhead/jib cranes).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment both in the shop and on-site.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Welding Experience: Proven experience proficiently welding with both MIG and Stick processes.
- Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read, interpret, and work directly from technical blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Valid G Driver’s License:



Must have a clean driving record and a valid Ontario G license to operate company service trucks to and from job sites.
- Site Readiness: Able and willing to work outdoors on construction and industrial sites in various weather conditions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and comfortably work at heights or in tight spaces if required.

Assets / Preferred Qualifications:

- Current CWB Tickets (Welders certified under CSA Standard W47.1 are highly preferred and will be given priority).
- Experience welding structural steel tubing (e.g., stainless steel or carbon steel tubing configurations).
- Working at Heights, Aerial Platform, or WHMIS certifications.
