About Borderworx Logistics
Borderworx Logistics is a growing third-party logistics (3PL) provider specializing in warehousing, distribution, and cross-border logistics. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Warehouse Audit Associate to join our team at our Oakville warehouse.
The primary responsibility of this position is auditing inbound garment shipments and accurately recording inventory information so our customers have complete visibility into the products stored in our warehouse. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential, as the information collected during the auditing process directly impacts inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction.
While garment auditing will be the primary focus of this role, this is also a hands-on warehouse position. The successful candidate must be willing and able to assist with light-duty warehouse functions such as receiving, inventory counts, order preparation, moving cartons and pallets, and general warehouse support as business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Audit inbound garment shipments for accuracy.
- Open and inspect cartons to verify styles, colours, sizes, quantities, and other product information.
- Scan garments using barcode scanners and record information in our proprietary inventory management system.
- Accurately enter and maintain inventory data using our software, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure customer inventory records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies or irregularities.
- Organize, sort, and move cartons as part of the auditing and inventory process.
- Move pallets using manual pallet jacks.
- Assist with receiving, shipping, inventory counts, order preparation, and other light-duty warehouse functions as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse best practices.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse team members to support daily operational needs.
Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency while consistently producing accurate work.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and inventory systems.
- Comfortable using Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Dependable with a strong attendance record.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
- Comfortable performing repetitive auditing tasks for extended periods.
- Willingness to transition between auditing responsibilities and general warehouse support based on daily operational needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the workday.
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the shift.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely move pallets using manual pallet jacks.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to safely perform light-duty warehouse tasks throughout the workday as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehousing, inventory control, auditing, quality control, fulfillment, distribution, or logistics.
- Experience auditing or handling apparel or garment inventory is an asset.
- Experience using barcode scanners, warehouse management systems, or inventory management software is an asset.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing the job right. The ideal candidate understands that every garment audited and every piece of information entered contributes to accurate inventory and helps ensure our customers know exactly what product they have in our warehouse.
This role is a positive fit for someone who is detail-oriented but also enjoys being active and working in a warehouse environment. Some days may be heavily focused on garment auditing and inventory entry, while other days may require more hands-on support with general warehouse operations.
You'll thrive in this position if you're dependable, organized, comfortable with computers, have a sharp eye for detail, work with a sense of urgency, and are willing to jump in and help the team wherever needed.
