MacDowell Insurance Brokers Limited is a full-service, independently owned brokerage located in Burlington, Ontario. We are seeking a full-time, Personal Lines Broker to service new and existing clients.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must be R.I.B.O licensed with a minimum of 4 years experience in a brokerage setting

Strong understanding of personal lines business

Experience with insurance company portals (Aviva, Economical, Intact, Travelers, etc.)

Team player with strong work ethic and positive attitude

Strong client service and time-management skills

Excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills

Assets: Systems Proficiency with Power-Broker and Applied Quoting Software

Preference will be given to local candidates

Duties: Assisting existing clients with policy, billing, and informational needs

Providing in-house quotations to potential clients and referral business

Preparation of new business and/or remarketing of accounts

Reporting and monitoring client claims





Communicating with underwriters and insurance company representatives
