We are looking for 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year Apprentice Electricians to join our team at our Nisku manufacturing facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, shop drawings and specifications to determine project layouts, dimensions and required materials
- Prepare and pre-assemble device boxes, exterior electrical devices, panels and lighting fixtures
- Measure, cut, mark and install blocking as required
- Measure, mark and cut openings for electrical boxes, fixtures and fans
- Lay out and install device boxes and octagon boxes
- Drill holes in walls, ceilings and floors to accommodate electrical wiring and components
- Pull and route wiring through roof joists, walls, floors and conduit
- Install, inspect, replace and repair electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, receptacles, switches, feeders, coaxial cables, fire alarm cables and distribution panels
- Splice, join and connect wiring to fixtures and components to complete electrical circuits
- Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

- Currently registered as a 2nd,



3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentice with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow safe work practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and sketches
- Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools and materials required for the trade
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Previous experience in residential construction required
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working indoors and in confined workspaces
- Fall Arrest certification is considered an asset
- Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing and verbal communication
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute daily to Nisku

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$34.00 per hour
