LiveWell Pharmacies is an independent community pharmacy group serving patients across three neighbourhood locations. Our Portage pharmacy is a high-volume store with strong prescription, compounding and specialty service.

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced, senior Pharmacy Assistant to work with and lead the assistant team at our Portage pharmacy. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will mainly handle the prescription intake and data-entry workflow, keep the processing queue moving, and make sure patients get fast, accurate service.

Duties

- Receive prescriptions and enter new and refill prescriptions accurately into the dispensing system.
- Manage the processing queue - triage routine refills and complex / specialty prescriptions so turnaround stays fast.
- Process third-party / insurance billing and resolve adjudication rejections.
- Coordinate prescription readiness and patient pickup and notification.
- Support blister-pack and compounding -medication workflows.
- Support inventory ordering and receiving.

Experience





- Substantial pharmacy assistant experience in a community / retail pharmacy - this is a senior role.
- Strong hands-on experience with a pharmacy dispensing system (Kroll ).
- Fast, accurate data entry.
- Solid experience with third-party billing and resolving insurance rejections.
- Experience leading or mentoring a team, or readiness to step up to it.
- Excellent attention to detail and composure in a busy workplace.
- Strong communication and a patient-first attitude.
- Available full-time, including a Saturday rotation.

Nice to have:

- Exposure to compounding; blister-pack experience.

What we offer

A competitive hourly rate of $23 - $29 based on experience, full-time stable hours, a supportive team, and a genuine leadership role in a growing independent pharmacy.

Pay: $23.00-$29.00 per hour
