Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Full Time Nanny/House Helper to provide attentive caregiving and household support for a family located in Port Hope, Ontario. This is a live-out position so a reliable means of transportation to attend work is required. This role involves nurturing children, assisting with daily household tasks, and ensuring a safe, clean, and organized environment. This family has one child who is a 14 month old girl! They are looking for someone who can prepare meals, tidy the common areas, provide quality care, and teach their child colours, numbers, and letters, etc!

Hours: 9:00 am-5:00 pm Mon-Fri

NOTE: the family is very adamant about no screen-time. That means no phones present on shift unless discussed with the family prior, planning engaging activities. Child is not to leave the premises (no walks or outdoor activities) until further discussion, comfort, and trust has been built!

- Provide attentive care to children, including supervising activities and ensuring their safety at all times
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals for children and the family
- Engage children in educational activities, teaching, and developmental play
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing household spaces




- Support with caregiving needs for individuals with disabilities, adapting activities as necessary
- Help with daily routines including dressing, bathing, and homework assistance
- Maintain a clean and safe setting by adhering to household standards
- Assist with errands or other household tasks as needed to support the family’s needs

Experience

- Prior experience working with children is highly preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Skills in cooking, meal preparation, and cleaning are desirable
- Background in caregiving or teaching roles is beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to manage household tasks efficiently and responsibly
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Port Hope, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- working with a family : 3 years (required)
- in home nannying : 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- CPR Certification (required)
