Job Overview

Watermen Mechanical is looking for an experienced plumber or gasfitter, from a registered third-year plumbing apprentice to a certified Journeyperson, to join our team. Our work includes residential and commercial mechanical projects, renovations, restoration, heating systems and service throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas. You will work on projects and, according to your experience, troubleshoot and complete service calls. We value clear communication, quality workmanship and a positive team environment. Responsibilities

· Residential and commercial plumbing service calls

· Diagnose and repair plumbing problems

· Renovation and project plumbing

· Plumbing rough-ins and finishing

· Fixture installation and replacement

· Hot water tank installation and troubleshooting

· Gas fitting and gas appliance work

· Boiler and hydronic heating troubleshooting

· Waterline and drainage repairs

· Restoration plumbing

· Work from job scopes, plans and specifications when required

· Coordinate work with customers, contractors and other trades

· Determine required materials and equipment

· Complete detailed job notes and photos

· Manage assigned work within your training and qualifications

· Assist and guide apprentices when required

Requirements

· Registered plumbing apprentice with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT), minimum third year,



or certified Alberta Journeyperson Plumber

· Gasfitting experience

· Plumbing project experience; service and troubleshooting experience is an asset

· Able to work independently within your training and qualifications

· Comfortable with renovation and mechanical project work

· Residential and commercial plumbing experience

· Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a relatively clean driving abstract

· Professional customer communication

· Good organization and documentation skills

· Comfortable using a mobile app for scheduling, job notes and photos

· Boiler and hydronic heating experience is an asset

Pay

$30.00–$50.00 per hour

Pay is negotiable and depends on experience and qualifications.
