About SiQcure

SiQcure is a Canadian security software company, powered by Qorsa. Modern software is mostly built from other people's code, and few companies can say with confidence what's inside what they ship. SiQcure answers that. We show what's in a piece of software, which cryptography protects it, and whether what's running is exactly what was built, and we sign every result with post-quantum cryptography so customers, auditors and regulators can check it themselves.

Our customers are software vendors, banks and public bodies getting ready for the EU Cyber Resilience Act and for quantum computers breaking today's encryption.

The role

We're hiring a platform engineer with solid production skills and the range to jump in anywhere on the platform. You'll report to our Head of Engineering and work across the whole system: backend services, the infrastructure they run on, and the tools our customers use every day. It's a small team, so your work ships quickly and you'll see its effect on real customers.

What you'll work on

- Backend services. Build and extend the services at the heart of the product, which analyse software, apply customer policy and produce signed results.
- Production infrastructure. Run and improve our cloud environment, deployment pipelines, monitoring and alerting. Help keep things up, and join the on-call rotation as the team grows.
- Security-critical work. Contribute to signing, verification, key management, audit trails and access control, working closely with senior engineers on the hardest parts.
- Across the product. Work on data models and databases, developer tooling used in customers' build pipelines, and the web application when it's needed.
- Shipping well. Take features from design to production, write tests, review code, and help land work in small, safe steps.

In your first few months

You'll get the platform running locally,



ship changes to production within your first weeks, and take ownership of a real part of the system in the run-up to launch.

Skills we're looking for across the board

- Backend development: 3 or more years building production services in a statically typed language such as Go, Rust, Java or C#.
- Cloud and infrastructure: hands-on experience with a major cloud provider, containers and orchestration, and infrastructure as code.
- Delivery: CI/CD, automated testing, and safe, frequent releases.
- Databases: relational database design, migrations and query performance.
- Operations: monitoring, debugging and supporting systems in production.
- Security: authentication and authorisation, secrets and key handling, and an interest in applied cryptography.
- Frontend: comfort working in a modern web framework when the work calls for it.
- Ways of working: transparent communication, sound judgement, and a habit of finishing what you start.

Nice to have

- Software supply chain security, such as SBOMs, code signing, provenance or package ecosystems.
- Applied or post-quantum cryptography, PKI or key management services.
- Static analysis or developer tooling.
- Startup experience.
