About Duraline/CableTiesAndMore

Duraline is a growing ecommerce and technology-driven business with a strong focus on building and improving our own systems, infrastructure, and technology platforms. We operate large scale ecommerce operations and rely heavily on internally developed software to manage our business.

We are looking for an Intermediate C# / .NET Developer to join our in-house development team. This is a hands-on development position for someone who enjoys solving real business problems, building reliable software, and working across the full application stack.

This is not a position where you will simply be assigned tickets and work in isolation. You will be involved in the ongoing development and improvement of our applications, databases, APIs, internal tools, ecommerce infrastructure, and business systems.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the ASP.NET ecosystem, modern .NET, Blazor, relational database design, Azure, and software development practices and is comfortable explaining not just how something works, but why it should be designed a particular way.

The Role

As an Intermediate C# Developer, you will work closely with our development and business teams to develop, maintain, optimize, and expand our software systems.

You will be expected to take ownership of development tasks from understanding requirements through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET 6+ and Blazor
- Build and maintain reusable Blazor components and application functionality
- Develop APIs and backend services using ASP.NET and modern .NET - Develop and maintain data access layers using Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core, including efficient querying, entity relationships, and database migrations.
- Design, query, optimize, and maintain relational SQL databases
- Write efficient and maintainable SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database logic
- Work with existing applications while also contributing to new application development
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, API, and infrastructure issues
- Participate in architectural and technical decisions
- Develop clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code
- Work with Azure Cloud services and deployment infrastructure
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Use Git effectively for source control and collaborative development
- Work with Azure DevOps Workboards to manage development tasks and projects
- Participate in code reviews and maintain development standards
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, maintainability, and security
- Work closely with other members of the organization to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Support existing production systems and investigate issues as they arise
- Document technical processes and application functionality where appropriate

Required Technical Experience

We are looking for someone with substantial professional development experience and a solid foundation in the Microsoft development ecosystem.

- Strong understanding of LINQ queries and how they are translated into SQL
- Experience with entity relationships, navigation properties, eager loading, lazy loading, and explicit loading
- Understanding of database migrations, schema changes, and code-first or database-first development approaches
- Ability to identify and resolve performance issues related to Entity Framework queries, including inefficient queries, unnecessary database calls, and N+1 query problems
- Understanding of when to use Entity Framework versus direct SQL queries, stored procedures, or other data access approaches
- Strong understanding of how Entity Framework interacts with SQL Server, database transactions, and application architecture

What We Are Looking For

Technical knowledge is extremely important for this position.

We are specifically looking for a developer who can demonstrate depth, not simply familiarity with a long list of technologies.

A strong candidate should be able to explain the reasoning behind their technical decisions and demonstrate a genuine understanding of the underlying frameworks.

For example, we expect candidates to be comfortable discussing topics such as:

- ASP.NET request pipelines and middleware
- Dependency injection and service lifetimes
- Authentication and authorization
- API design
- Blazor component architecture
- Blazor component lifecycles
- Component rendering and re-rendering
- State management
- When and where to use asynchronous programming
- async / await and how asynchronous operations actually behave
- Common async/await mistakes and performance considerations
- Cancellation and long-running operations
- Database connections and efficient data access
- SQL query optimization
- Relational database design
- API and application performance
- Exception handling and logging
- CI/CD architecture
- Git branching and merge strategies
- Application architecture and maintainability

Candidates should be able to explain these concepts in depth and relate them to real-world applications they have built or maintained.

We are not looking for someone who has simply followed tutorials or worked primarily by copying established patterns without understanding them.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is:

- A strong C# developer who enjoys solving problems
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small development team
- Curious and interested in understanding how systems work
- Comfortable working in an existing codebase
- Able to take ownership of projects and development tasks
- Detail-oriented and concerned with writing quality software
- Comfortable asking questions when requirements are unclear
- Able to communicate technical concepts clearly
- Interested in continuously improving their technical skills
- Comfortable working in an environment where software directly supports real business operations

Work Environment

This is a full-time, in-office position working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

You will work directly with our team in a team-oriented environment where developers have visibility into the actual business problems our software is solving.

Because our systems are directly connected to our day-to-day operations, this role provides the opportunity to work on software that has an immediate and measurable impact on the business.

Qualifications

Required:

- 5+ years professional software development experience
- 3+ years ASP.NET experience
- 2+ years Blazor experience
- 3+ years experience with .NET 6+ / modern .NET

· Strong understanding of LINQ, ORM concepts, and Entity Framework performance optimization

- Extensive SQL Server and relational database experience
- Azure Cloud experience

- Robust Git experience
- Azure DevOps experience
- Strong understanding of software architecture and development principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

- Syncfusion experience
- Ecommerce or ERP development experience
- Experience with large-scale business applications
- Experience working with APIs and third-party integrations

Compensation

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience and technical ability.

We are more interested in finding the right developer than simply filling a position. Compensation will reflect the candidate's actual experience, technical depth, and ability to contribute to our development team.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume along with a brief description of your development experience, including the types of applications you have worked on and your experience with C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, .NET, SQL Server, Azure, and Azure DevOps.

Candidates may be asked to participate in a technical interview designed to evaluate practical development experience and depth of understanding of the technologies listed above.
