The Shop Hand supports the day-to-day operations of the shop, warehouse, and yard by ensuring materials, tools, equipment, and work areas are organized, maintained, and readily available for field and shop personnel. The role assists with inventory management, material handling, shipping and receiving, equipment preparation, yard maintenance, and general operational support to help maintain safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored and secured.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and staging equipment and materials.
- Support yard maintenance activities.
- Clean, inspect, and prepare equipment returning from field sites.
- Receive, store, and track parts, materials, and equipment using company inventory systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items.




- Prepare and transport parts or equipment to field sites as needed.
- Support mechanics with basic equipment maintenance and minor repairs as required.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience working in a shop, yard, or industrial environment preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read blueprints is an asset
- G driver’s license
- Strong work ethic, attention to safety, and willingness to learn
- Solid communication skills.

Type: Full-time, Temporary

Location: Caledonia, ON (100% On-Site)
Reports To: Supply Chain Supervisor

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
