Home Away Inn is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Worker to help keep our property safe, comfortable, and well maintained. Our property focuses on monthly and extended stays, providing accommodation for people working and living in the area.
Responsibilities
· Perform general repairs and routine preventative maintenance throughout the property.
· Complete minor plumbing repairs, painting, drywall patching, and basic carpentry.
· Maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, and common areas.
· Inspect rooms and building areas, identify maintenance needs, and report larger repair requirements.
· Assist with groundskeeping, snow removal, and seasonal property upkeep.
· Respond professionally to maintenance requests while respecting residents’ privacy.
· Keep tools, supplies, and work areas organized.
· Record completed work and coordinate with management and outside contractors as needed.
What we are looking for
· Previous building maintenance, handyman, or related experience.
· Practical repair skills and confidence using common tools.
· The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
· A reliable, safety-conscious approach and attention to detail.
· Good communication skills and a respectful manner with residents.
· The ability to perform the physical duties of the role.
· Hotel or residential property maintenance experience is an asset.
