About PK Lodge

PK Lodge is a fresh take on traditional Muskoka, a place where good food, outstanding people, lake days and a little nostalgia come together. With our first summer as PK behind us, we're excited for the fall and holiday season.

Our kitchen serves both resort guests and the local community, with a menu that is elevated without being fussy. We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes pride in doing things well, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.

The Role

We're looking for a Dishwasher / Prep Cook to help keep our kitchen running smoothly, efficiently and happily.

This is a hands-on role that combines dishwashing, kitchen cleaning and basic food preparation. You'll be an important part of the kitchen team and will help make sure the cooks and chefs have what they need to keep service moving.

No formal kitchen experience is required. We can teach you the skills, we're looking for someone reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.

What You'll Do

Dishwashing & Kitchen Support

- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean, organized and stocked
- Sweep, mop and maintain general kitchen cleanliness
- Empty garbage and recycling as required
- Assist with closing and cleaning duties
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Help keep the kitchen organized during busy service periods

Food Preparation

- Assist with basic food preparation such as chopping, portioning, peeling and measuring
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and direction from the kitchen team
- Help with receiving, storing and organizing food deliveries
- Label and properly store prepared food and ingredients
- Assist with basic kitchen tasks as skills develop

Teamwork





- Support cooks and chefs wherever needed
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team
- Jump in when things get busy, because they will!
- Maintain a positive, respectful attitude with teammates
- Help create a kitchen environment where everyone pitches in

- Comfortable working on their feet for extended periods
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying and standing throughout a shift
- Organized and able to work at a steady pace
- Comfortable working in a quick-paced environment
- Willing to learn and take direction
- A team player who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty
- Proud of their work, even when nobody is watching

The Fine Print

This position involves standing for long periods, lifting and carrying kitchen supplies, working around heat and water, and keeping pace during busy meal periods. Reliable transportation is required as we're not on any bus route.
