We’re looking for an Assistant Sporting Goods Manager who shares that mindset and is ready to help lead our Sporting Goods team.

The Role

The Assistant Sporting Goods Manager will be a hands-on leader on our sales floor, helping create an exceptional experience for both our customers and our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves sporting goods, enjoys working with people, and is ready to take the next step in retail leadership.

You won’t be managing from the sidelines. You’ll be involved in the day-to-day business: helping customers, supporting and coaching staff, maintaining merchandising standards, developing product knowledge, and helping ensure the department operates at a high level.

What You’ll Do

- Help lead the day-to-day operations of the Sporting Goods department
- Deliver the personalized, knowledgeable customer service Western Cycle is known for
- Lead by example on the sales floor
- Support, coach, and develop team members
- Help create a welcoming, professional, and energetic store environment
- Build strong product knowledge across our sporting goods categories
- Assist customers in finding the right products for their needs
- Support merchandising, presentation, inventory, and general department organization




- Help identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and department performance
- Work closely with the Sporting Goods Manager and broader leadership team
- Step up and take ownership when something needs to get done
