Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Brake Press Setup / Operator to join our dedicated production team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, operating, and maintaining our Brake Press machinery to ensure high-quality custom metal fabrication.

Core Responsibilities

- Read and Interpret Drawings: Study shop drawings, technical blueprints, and CAD schematics to determine bend sequences, angles, and dimensions.
- Machine Setup: Select and install the appropriate dies, punches, and tooling, and configure CNC back-gauge and ram controls.
- Quality Control: Measure finished pieces using precision instruments (such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and tape measures) to verify parts meet tight tolerances.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance, clean machinery, lubricate moving parts,



and troubleshoot minor mechanical or programming errors.
- Safety Compliance: Follow strict shop safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and gloves), and inspect safety light curtains and interlocks.
- Material Handling: Handle and move materials as needed (some heavy lifting is involved).

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Proven experience operating CNC Press Brake machinery is strictly required.
- Licensing: A current, up-to-date Tow Motor / Forklift license is prefered.
- Physical Capability: Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting materials.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a safety-first mindset.
