Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components according to schematics and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair options.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, preferably in a dealership or automotive repair shop setting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for automotive repairs.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including electrical systems, engines, transmissions, and brakes.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals related to automotive repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about their vehicle needs.
- A valid driver's license is required; ASE certification is a plus but not mandatory.
