Academy for Mathematics & English – Burlington Location

The Academy for Mathematics & English is currently seeking enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated tutors to join our team at our Burlington location.

We provide academic support to students from SK through Grade 12, including:

- Math: SK – Grade 12
- English: Kindergarten – Grade 9
- Physics & Chemistry: Grades 11 & 12

Location: 3410 Mainway Drive, Burlington, ON

Important: Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Burlington location. Applicants who do not live close to the Burlington location will not be considered.

Position Responsibilities

Junior Tutors – SK to Grade 8

Tutors working with junior students must be comfortable teaching:

- Math: SK – Grade 8
- English: SK – Grade 8

Senior Tutors – High School

Tutors working with senior students should be able to teach one or more of the following:

- Trigonometry
- Advanced Functions
- Calculus & Vectors
- Chemistry
- Physics

What You Can Expect

- Permanent part-time position
- In-person tutoring at our Burlington centre
- Afternoon, evening, and/or weekend sessions




- Work with the same students on a regular basis, allowing you to build strong relationships and track their progress
- No lesson-plan preparation required – our teaching curriculum and materials are provided
- A supportive environment where you can make a meaningful difference in students' academic development

Requirements

- Degree in a related field or currently enrolled in a related post-secondary program
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Minimum 1 year of tutoring experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students of different ages and abilities
- Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to our Burlington location
- Availability Monday to Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Minimum availability of 3 days per week
