WETS We Teach Swimming
Kelowna
Love Swimming? Teach Students How To Swim Correctly.
Semi-private 2:1 lessons, taught skill by skill. Training provided.
Imagine helping two swimmers make steady progress every lesson instead of managing group lessons. With WETS, you’ll have time to give each student personalized attention and focus on correct technique. You’ll help students master the foundation skills and strokes they need to swim with confidence and enjoy any aquatic activity.
Since 1996, WETS has taught more than 25,000 swimmers. Now we're growing, and we’re looking for passionate Swim Instructors to teach the WETS Program for ages 3 and up, including teens and adults.
We have openings in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Penticton, and Vernon. Standard First Aid & CPR-C or preferably a current Bronze Cross certification is required. Previous instructor training or teaching experience is a bonus, but not required.
Apply at www.wets.ca/teach.
Live in another community? Apply now as we’re opening new WETS Academy locations across Canada.
Why Instructors Teach With WETS
- Earn $22 to $30 per hour. Your rate is based on your experience and qualifications.
- Teach an in-demand program. Our seasonal sessions have waitlists because students make steady, measurable progress in the WETS Program. That means consistent demand for your lessons.
- Choose your schedule. Set your availability for each seasonal session at the WETS Academy location near you. Pick up substitute shifts when you want more hours.
- Focus on teaching. We handle registration, pool access, and administration, so your time is focused on teaching.
- Know what to teach. The WETS Program gives you a clear, skill-by-skill path to teach the foundation skills and strokes using our Skill-Building Method.
- Build your teaching expertise. WETS provides online and in-pool training, plus continuing education, so you keep growing as a swim instructor.
