We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and caring Personal Support Worker / Senior Caregiver to provide support to an elderly individual in Collingwood.

This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys helping seniors maintain their comfort, independence, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is patient, respectful, attentive, and comfortable providing both personal assistance and companionship in a home setting.

Responsibilities

- Provide friendly companionship and emotional support
- Assist with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and personal hygiene
- Support safe mobility, walking, transfers, and movement around the home
- Assist with mealtimes as needed
- Provide reminders for medications and daily routines
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and comfortable living setting
- Accompany the client on walks, appointments, errands, or outings when required
- Assist with grocery shopping and other household needs
- Encourage social interaction, conversation, and activities that promote overall well-being
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition, behaviour, mobility,



or general well-being to the appropriate family member or supervisor
- Maintain the client’s privacy, dignity, comfort, and independence at all times
- Follow established care instructions and safety procedures

Qualifications

- Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification is preferred
- Previous experience working with seniors or providing personal care is an asset
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to caregiving
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and respond calmly to changing needs
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and daily living activities
- Ability to perform light physical tasks associated with caregiving and household support
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
