ABOUT RAPTOR
Raptor Remediation Group is a new, locally owned selective demolition and hazmat abatement contractor based in Upper Sackville, Nova Scotia. We are WCB Safety Certified, fully insured, and run new trucks and equipment. Our work is interior and selective demolition for general contractors, property owners, universities and government clients, not full building tear-downs. We are hiring our first crews now, and these are long-term positions.

- Concrete saw cutting, core drilling, floor grinding and mastic removal
- Removal of old mechanical services, tanks and equipment, including basic rigging
- Trenching, breaking and concrete reinstatement
- Loading bins, sorting material for recycling, general site clean-up
- Protecting finishes, dust control and keeping work areas safe for other trades
- Daily field tickets and tool and equipment checks
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of demolition or heavy construction labour experience
- Confident with demo saws, chipping hammers, jackhammers, concrete saws, grinders and hand tools
- Skid steer, mini-excavator or dump-trailer experience is an asset
- WHMIS and fall protection; asbestos awareness is an asset (we will train and certify)
- Able to lift 50 lb repeatedly and work on your feet all day
- Reliable, on time, works safe and takes direction from a supervisor
- Valid driver's licence and own transportation; Class 3 or clean abstract is an asset
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
BIG PLUS: SECURITY CLEARANCE
Much of our work is on federal and Department of National Defence sites. If you hold Government of Canada Reliability Status or a Secret clearance, or have worked on DND/DCC projects and can obtain one, say so in your application. It is worth more to us and will show in your rate.
WHAT WE OFFER
- $25 to $30/hr to start, with raises tied to tickets and responsibility
- Paid weekly by direct deposit
- Overtime per the Nova Scotia construction-industry standard
- Company-paid training: asbestos abatement, fall arrest, confined space, lift, first aid
- PPE supplied
- Steady, year-round work. A mix of indoor and outdoor jobs through the winter
- Room to grow into equipment operator, lead hand and supervisor roles
