Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Service Technician – JM or Apprentice (minimum 2nd Year) to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive repair, mechanical work, and specialty off-road vehicles to develop their skills in a professional dealership environment. The position involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on passenger vehicles, trucks, and specialty off-road vehicles, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction. Experience with lifted vehicles, suspension systems, aftermarket accessories, and off-road performance upgrades is considered a strong asset. Prior dealership experience is a plus, but we welcome motivated apprentices eager to learn and grow within the automotive industry. Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive and specialty off-road vehicle issues using standard and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid replacements, and preventative maintenance services.
- Inspect, repair, and install off-road components including lift kits, suspension systems, wheels and tires, winches, skid plates, lighting systems, and other aftermarket accessories.
- Utilize schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized machinery safely and effectively.
- Assist with vehicle assembly, disassembly, customization, and component replacement.
- Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure all vehicle modifications and repairs meet safety and manufacturer standards.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs,



recommended services, modifications, and completed work.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and vehicle modifications.
- Support team members in completing daily tasks efficiently.

Skills

- Proven experience or training in automotive repair; dealership experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
- Experience working on or a strong interest in specialty off-road vehicles, 4x4 systems, suspension upgrades, and aftermarket accessories.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and schematics.
- Understanding of suspension, steering, driveline, and off-road performance systems is considered an asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs, installations, or parts handling.
- Excellent customer service skills to address client inquiries professionally.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and installation instructions for accurate repairs and modifications.
- Experience with vehicle assembly, disassembly, and custom accessory installation is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry standards, emerging technologies, and off-road vehicle innovations.

Pay: $23.56-$46.02 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
