Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a dynamic food service workplace. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The Food Service Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring smooth restaurant operations, high-quality food presentation, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant or food service operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain consistency and excellence
- Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of food products
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Assist with customer service issues to resolve complaints promptly and professionally
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment




- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health standards
- Lead by example in hospitality, serving guests with professionalism and courtesy
- Train staff on proper food handling, safety procedures, and restaurant protocols

Experience

- Proven supervisory experience in a food service or restaurant environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in fast-paced settings
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (including proper handling procedures)
- Experience in hospitality roles such as bartending, barista work, hotel service, or serving is advantageous
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Previous restaurant management experience is preferred but not mandatory for candidates demonstrating strong leadership qualities
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Pay: $17.00 per hour
