About the position

Able Cresting is a family-owned custom apparel and promotional products company in Abbotsford. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to help our production and shipping team during our busy season leading up to Christmas.

This is a hands-on production and warehouse position. Most of the day will be spent standing, preparing orders, operating heat-press equipment, checking finished products, packing boxes and receiving shipments. This is not an office, sales or customer-service role.

The position is currently expected to be approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Some additional hours may be available during especially busy periods. There may also be an opportunity to continue after Christmas, but ongoing employment and full time hours are not guaranteed.

This role may be a positive fit for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in getting the details right and appreciates a predictable daytime schedule with no evening or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

- Receive, inspect and organize incoming shipments
- Check packing slips and incoming products for quantities, sizes, colours and damage
- Prepare Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers and operate heat-press equipment
- Apply graphics and designs to garments and other products
- Follow purchase orders carefully to ensure the correct design, placement, size and quantity
- Inspect finished products for decoration and garment defects
- Fold, package, label and ship outgoing orders
- Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records
- Keep production and shipping areas clean, organized and safe
- Assist with other production and warehouse duties as required

- Able to read and understand English-language order details, safety instructions and equipment procedures, and communicate clearly with coworkers
- Able to stand for the full shift and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Able to lift and move boxes weighing approximately 30 - 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Shipping, receiving, heat-press, DTF or other production experience is preferred but not required
- Willing to learn and accept feedback
