About the Opportunity
Staff Plus is recruiting on behalf of an established industrial manufacturing organization in Hamilton, Ontario, seeking a skilled and licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) to join its maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trades professional who enjoys hands-on mechanical troubleshooting, maintaining heavy industrial equipment, and working in a collaborative manufacturing workplace.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Perform mechanical maintenance on presses, conveyors, pumps, furnaces, compressors, and related production machinery.
- Identify and resolve mechanical breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment schematics.Work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Assist with equipment installation, adjustments, and machinery repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Collaborate with electricians, production teams, and maintenance leadership.
- Follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate of Qualification (433A) — mandatory.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting machinery in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with industrial presses, conveyors,
and production equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform maintenance independently.
- Strong understanding of industrial health and safety practices.
- Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including potential 12-hour continental rotations.
- Authorization to work in Canada.
Additional assets:
- Experience with heavy industrial stamping or steel manufacturing.
- G1 Gas Fitter certification.
- CWB welding certification.
Please note: This opportunity is currently intended for fully licensed trades professionals rather than apprentices.

- $47.20/hour, including a $44.82 base rate and $2.38 cost-of-living allowance.

Work Schedule
Currently operating on rotating 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday:
Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Nights: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
The facility may transition to 12-hour continental shifts based on production requirements. Candidates must be comfortable with both schedules.
