Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable individual to handle evening and nighttime transfer runs between our Victoria and Nanaimo depots. This is a straightforward driving position for someone who prefers working late in the day and is comfortable working independently. Shifts would generally begin sometime between approximately 4:00 p.m. and 5 p.m. depending on the day's schedule.

Duties - What You can Expect

- Evening/nighttime work
- Regular Victoria to Nanaimo transfer runs
- Company electric van provided
- Generally a small number of large palletized loads rather that numerous indivdual packages
- Typical loads may consist of approximately 2-3 pallets, including half pallets
- Driver the loaded vehicle to Nanaimo, unload and load the return freight
- Upon returning to our Victoria location, unload, organize and sort the incoming freight
- Most of the work is driving, loading/unloading, and handling freight
- Some loads can be physically demanding




- Equipment such as pallet jacks/dollies is available to assist with heavier loads

Skills - We're Looking for Someone who:

- Has a valid Class 5 driver's licence and a clean or reasonably clean driving record
- Is reliable and punctual
- Is comfortable driving a larger delivery van
- Is comfortable driving at night and on longer highway trips
- Can safely load, unload, and move palletized freight
- Is comfortable working independently
- Pays attention to detail and takes care of company equipment
- Has a good work ethic and is willing to help organize freight when the run is complete

This position would suit someone looking for consistent evening work who doesn't mind being on the road and prefers a relatively straightforward run rather than making a large number of deliveries.

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
