Responsibilities
Tasks
• Create a stimulating, nurturing, and secure environment for the child
• Supervise the children’s activities at all times
• Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals for the child
• Perform housework related to childcare, including washing the child’s clothes, cleaning up after meals and tidying play areas
• Teach age-appropriate personal hygiene habits.
• organizing play opportunities to support social and developmental growth




• Play with the child, both indoors and outdoors
• Plan and lead educational activities, including reading
• Discipline the child, when necessary, according to the methods instructed by parents
• Administer medicine to the child as per the instructions of doctor.
• Superintend the child’s activities such as meals and rest periods as instructed by parents
Skills:-
To be a nanny you should have:
• knowledge of the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of children
• the ability to make close and trusting relationships with parents and children
• a kind and cheerful personality
• patience, understanding and a sense of humour
• the ability to cope with unexpected situations
