Position Info:
• Position: Carpenter
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $38.50/hr
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 2786 Lake Breeze Court, Langford, BC V9B 6L6

Job Duties:
• Review construction drawings, blueprints and specifications to identify measurements, materials and job requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install wood, engineered wood, light-gauge steel and other construction materials using appropriate hand and power tools
• Lay out carpentry work according to project specifications and applicable building codes, using measuring and levelling equipment
• Construct and install floor framing, subfloors, wall framing and other structural components as required for residential and commercial projects
• Install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, trim,



hardware and other finishing components
• Determine the type and quantity of materials required for assigned carpentry work and assist with material and cost estimates
• Repair, replace and renovate existing wooden structures and building components as part of renovation and improvement projects
• Check completed carpentry work for proper alignment, measurements, structural integrity and compliance with project specifications

Job Requirements:
• Language: English
• Experience: 3-5 years of carpentry experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
