Location: 7423 Frontier St, Pemberton, BC V0N 2L0
Employment: Permanent, full-time (30-40 hours/week)
Salary: $38.50/hour

About the role:
Established in 1914, the Pemberton Hotel is a historic landmark located in the heart of downtown Pemberton, framed by the stunning backdrop of Mt. Currie. In addition to the hotel, the property includes a pub, liquor store, and cannabis store. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Person to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep to ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained.

Duties:
- Perform routine inspections of the hotel, pub, liquor store, and cannabis store to identify maintenance and repair requirements.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and perform minor repairs to building systems, guest rooms, common areas, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment.
- Perform minor carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, plumbing, electrical, and locksmith repairs, and arrange for qualified tradespersons to complete major repairs when required.
- Repair or replace doors, windows, locks, hardware, lighting fixtures, faucets, toilets, and other building components.
- Assemble, install, and adjust furniture, shelving, fixtures, appliances, and equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot maintenance issues to minimize operational disruptions.




- Coordinate and assist qualified contractors performing specialized repairs and maintenance services.
- Perform seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow removal, salting walkways, and minor grounds maintenance, as required.
- Monitor the operation of heating, ventilation, lighting, plumbing, and other building systems, and arrange for specialized servicing when required.
- Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and inventory of tools, equipment, parts, and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with applicable health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with room setups, renovations, and other facility improvement projects, as required.

Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school.
- At least 2 years of experience in building maintenance, facility maintenance, or general handyman work.
- Experience performing basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general building repairs.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and performing manual work.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks.
- Good English communication skills.
