About the Clinic

Nova Thera Wellness is a purpose-built, 4,030 sq ft integrated medical aesthetics and wellness destination in Woodbridge, Ontario. Alongside medical aesthetics, IV therapy and longevity programs, our salon suite offers premium hair services in a calm, modern setting where every guest is cared for from the moment they arrive. We are seeking a talented, certified Hairstylist to join our salon team and help build a loyal, multi-generational clientele.

Role Overview

As our Hairstylist, you will deliver the full range of cutting, colouring and styling services for women, men and children, from first haircuts to bridal and special-event styling. Working alongside and guided by our Senior Hairstylist, you will follow the salon’s creative and technical standards, keep growing your skills, and collaborate with our skin, aesthetics and wellness practitioners to create complete, confidence-building experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Cutting & Styling

- Precision cuts for women, men and children, including layered, bob, pixie, fades, tapers, scissor-over-comb and clipper work
- Children’s cuts delivered with patience and care, including first-haircut experiences
- Blowouts, curling, flat-iron styling, updos, bridal and special-event styling
- Textured, curly and coily hair care and styling; men’s grooming and beard shaping

Colour Services

- Full colour services: root touch-ups, global colour, gloss and toners, grey blending
- Advanced lightening techniques: balayage, foilayage, highlights, lowlights and babylights
- Colour correction and lightening with bond-building treatments to protect hair integrity
- Patch and strand testing before colour and chemical services,



with results recorded
- Smoothing, keratin and conditioning treatments; scalp care treatments

Client Consultation & Experience

- Thorough consultations covering hair history, lifestyle, face shape and goals, with clear pricing before services begin
- Recommend home-care products and complementary clinic services with honest, no-pressure guidance
- Build and retain a loyal client base through rebooking, follow-up and outstanding service
- Create inspiring before-and-after content for the clinic’s portfolio and social media, with client consent

Salon Operations & Compliance

- Maintain accurate client records, formulas and service notes in the clinic booking system
- Follow Ontario Personal Service Settings requirements (O. Reg. 136/18) for cleaning and disinfection of tools and stations
- Handle colour and chemical products safely, following WHMIS and manufacturer instructions
- Keep the salon suite clean, organized and fully stocked; support inventory and product ordering
- Take part in in-house education and technical coaching led by the Senior Hairstylist; support assistants as needed

Qualifications

Required

- Ontario Certificate of Qualification as a Hairstylist (332A) in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario, or eligibility to obtain it before the start date




- Minimum 2 years of professional salon experience across cutting, colour and styling
- Solid colour skills, including highlights and balayage; colour correction with Senior Hairstylist support
- Confident with women’s, men’s and children’s cuts and styling
- Portfolio of recent work (photos, Instagram or website)
- Excellent communication and client-service skills; reliable and skilled

Preferred (Strong Asset)

- Commitment to ongoing education and growing toward a senior role
- Advanced certifications from professional colour or cutting education programs (for example, brand colour certifications or academy courses)
- Bridal or special-event styling experience
- Hair extensions, keratin smoothing or curly-hair specialist training
- An existing client following in the Vaughan / Woodbridge / North York area
- Experience with online booking systems and social media marketing
- Bilingual (English plus Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Punjabi, Russian or another language spoken locally)

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
