We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Braider/Salon Assistant to join our vibrant salon team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hair styling and providing exceptional customer service. As a key member of our salon, you will assist with client services, maintain a clean and organized environment, and support the overall operations of the salon to ensure a positive experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

- Perform braiding and basic hair styling services with attention to detail and client preferences
- Greet clients warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Assist with sanitation and cleanliness of tools, workstations, and common areas in compliance with health standards
- Upsell retail products and promote salon services to enhance client satisfaction and business growth
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments
- Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with clients and team members




- Support other salon operations as needed to ensure smooth daily functioning

Qualifications

- Experience or training in hair styling, braiding, or related cosmetology skills is required; willingness to learn and upscale is essential
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures within a salon setting
- Ability to upsell products and services in a friendly, non-pushy manner
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Previous retail sales or front desk experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently

Pay: $17.60-$18.50 per hour
