Eldale Machine & Tool Ltd. was founded in 1976 to manufacture hubs and spindles for agricultural original equipment manufacturers (OEM). The product line includes hubs and spindles from 1,000 lbs to 40,000 lbs capacity as well as custom machined parts. Uses include small utility trailers, farm wagons, manure handling equipment, grain carts, forestry and mining equipment as well as sod and turf grass applications.

Your Opportunity!

Eldale Machine & Tool Ltd. is recruiting for an experienced Full-Time Permanent CNC Lathe Setup Technician to join our manufacturing facility in Elmira. You will be mainly responsible for setting up and troubleshooting CNC lathe machines to ensure that parts are produced according to specifications and quality requirements, as well as monitoring the operation and performing periodic machine maintenance. Please note the facility will be moving to Listowel in mid-2027.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

- Set-up, adjust and troubleshoot CNC lathes to ensure that parts are produced according to specifications and quality requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine setup procedures, tooling, control settings, and manufacturing sequences
- Track machine performance and adjust set-ups, calibrations, and alignments
- Clean and verify dimensions of parts machined using precision measuring instruments as needed; complete all associated quality documentation
- Collaborate with various colleagues to continuously improve tooling and processes
- Assist with training CNC/machine operators
- Ensure that all safety precautions and procedures are followed and work within the guidelines and rules of the plant




- Operate CNC lathes as required
- Other related duties, as assigned

Job Requirements:

- Minimum five (5) years of experience working in a Machinist or Technician capacity performing CNC programming and set-up in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of CNC Programming and CNC machine controls i.e. tool offsets/changes, program changeovers
- Knowledge and/or experience using Fanuc control system
- Proficient in the use of various mechanical digital instruments (i.e. vernier, micrometer, caliper, etc.) in the imperial measurement system
- Proven experience in reading blueprint and technical drawing
- Excellent knowledge of hand tools and assembly processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with other colleagues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge and experience of health and safety practices
