White Oak Woods Childcare Centre is a locally grown, Haldimand-based childcare centre dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children and families.

We are currently seeking TWO passionate, motivated, and qualified Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) to join our growing team in Dunnville!

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you will work collaboratively with fellow educators, families, and management to create a secure, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing and implementing engaging, child-led programming that supports children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Observing and documenting children's development, interests, and learning experiences.
- Building positive and professional relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Collaborating with fellow educators to ensure high-quality childcare programming.
- Participating in staff meetings, professional development, and training opportunities.
- Maintaining classroom cleanliness, organization, and health and safety standards.
- Following all centre policies and procedures.




- Ensuring compliance with Ontario's Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), How Does Learning Happen?, and the ELECT framework.

Qualifications

- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Experience working in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check that meets Ministry of Education requirements.
- Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Knowledge of Lillio (formerly HiMama) is considered an asset.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and supporting children's growth and development.

Position Details

Position: Full time Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

Location: White Oak Woods Childcare Centre – Dunnville, Ontario

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m.

Hours: 9-hour scheduled shifts, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break (8 paid hours).

Work Environment: Indoor and outdoor childcare programming.

Statutory Holidays: Centre closed.
