Position: Specialty Foods Chef (Chinese style Korean cuisine)
Wages: CAD$ 28.00-37.00/hour (depending on skills and experiences)
Types: Full-time, Permanent (various shifts, including evening, weekends, and holidays)
Working hours: 30-40 hours/week
Advantages: 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Plan and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of Korean foods
• Prepare and cook Chinese style Korean dishes, chef’s specials, and specialty foods
• Create and maintain house recipes
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality and safety standards
• Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items
• Demonstrate and train new cooking techniques/equipment to staff
• Supervise activities of cooks and staff
• Monitor and requisition food and supplies
• Arrange any repair /purchase of kitchen equipment
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial food preparation required.
• Korean food cooking certificate is an asset.
• Skills demonstration may be required.
