Position: Dental Product Development and R&D; Assistant (Dental Laboratory Assistnat)

Position Summary
The Dental Product Development and R&D; Assistant supports the development, testing, and refinement of dental laboratory products and materials. The position assists with preparing models and moulds, fabricating and modifying prototypes, processing dental materials, and finishing dental products such as crowns, bridges, and ceramic restorations. The Assistant also supports product testing, maintains laboratory materials and supplies, and records observations and results to assist with improving product quality and laboratory processes.

Wage: $35.00 to $42.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 to 40 hours per Week

Job duties:
1. Support the development and refinement of dental products, including crowns, bridges, and ceramic restorations, through laboratory preparation, prototyping, testing, and modification.
2. Prepare plaster models, moulds, dental materials, and laboratory samples for dental product development and testing.
3. Assist with the fabrication and modification of dental product prototypes using appropriate materials and laboratory techniques.
4. Assist with research and evaluation of dental materials, techniques, and product designs to support improvements in dental laboratory products and processes.

Support prototype testing and quality evaluation by preparing samples, conducting laboratory tests, recording results, and reporting observations.
6. Evaluate the fit, appearance, functionality, and finishing quality of dental products and assist with adjustments or modifications identified during testing.
7. Maintain product development records and technical information, including prototype specifications, testing results, material information, and product modifications.
8. Work with dental laboratory and production staff to implement product improvements and resolve technical issues identified during product development and testing.
9. Maintain and organize dental materials, samples, supplies, and laboratory equipment used in product development and testing.

Requirements
• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• At Least 3 years of experience in dental laboratory technology, including hands-on experience in dental product development, material preparation, prototype fabrication, product testing, and finishing of dental products such as crowns, bridges, and ceramic restorations.
