Position
● Job Title: General Farm Worker
● Reporting to: Farm Manager
Job Duties
● Assist with breeding and farrowing operations for a 2,200-sow hog operation
● Vaccinate and administer medications to pigs and piglets as directed
● Process and tag piglets; perform health and wellbeing checks
● Conduct regular barn walk-throughs to monitor animal health, behaviour, and welfare
● Monitor and record computer data for barn temperatures, feed consumption, and water intake
● Assist with the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and facilities




● Follow and enforce biosecurity protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfection procedures
● Perform general farm labour duties as required
Job Requirements
● No formal education required
● At least 6 months of experience working on a farm or hog barn.
● Ability to communicate in English (oral and written)
● Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, standing for extended periods, and working with animals
● Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow established protocols
