Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and experienced Class 1 Driver/Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of freight/product while operating Class 1 equipment, including Super B combinations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong driving skills, professionalism, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 trucks, including Super B configurations, to transport freight locally and interprovincially.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and compliant with all regulations.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo in accordance with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Complete accurate delivery documentation, logbooks, inspection reports, and other required paperwork.
- Follow all applicable transportation, safety, and company procedures.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with customers, coworkers, and the public.
- Identify and report mechanical issues and assist with basic troubleshooting when required.
- Assist with yard, warehouse, and equipment-related duties as needed.
- Operate forklifts or other equipment when qualified and required.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence with a safe driving history.




- Demonstrated experience operating Super B combinations will be required.
- TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) certification is required.
- Must provide a current clean Driver's Abstract.
- Proven experience in commercial transportation and heavy equipment operation.
- Robust knowledge of safe cargo securement and transportation regulations.
- Forklift certification and experience are considered assets.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual tasks, including routinely lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling 50-100 lbs, as well as standing, climbing, bending, and working in various weather conditions.

Additional Requirements

- Successful candidates will be required to complete and pass a company road test as part of the hiring process.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening and comply with all company safety policies.
