We're looking for a Business Development Manager who knows Ontario's trade show and convention industry from the inside. You'll use your network and experience to bring trade show organizers, convention producers, and venues on board as long-term partners.

What You'll Do

- Identify and approach trade show organizers, convention producers, and event venues across Ontario
- Build relationships with show managers, event directors, venue sales teams, and other decision-makers
- Present our services and lead the sales process from first contact to signed agreement
- Develop partnerships with major venues and convention centres to create referral opportunities
- Attend trade shows, industry conventions, and networking events to generate leads
- Maintain a sales pipeline and report regularly on progress and results
- Share market feedback with our team to improve our offering for trade shows and conventions

What We're Looking For

- 5–7 years of experience in the trade show, convention, or exhibition industry in Ontario, working directly with:
- Trade show and exhibition organizing companies
- Convention centres and event venues (for example,



sales or partnerships roles)
- Convention or association event producers
- An established network of contacts among Ontario trade show organizers and venues
- Proven track record in sales, partnerships, or business development, with measurable results
- Familiarity with industry associations such as the Canadian Association of Exposition Management (CAEM), IAEE, or Meeting Professionals International (MPI)
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Willingness to travel within Ontario
- Valid driver's license
- Asset: Experience with event registration, ticketing, or event technology platforms; French language skills
