Hofmann Construction is a small, family-run residential builder in North Saanich, and we’re growing. We build custom homes, additions, renovations, decks, and outdoor structures, with work ranging from formwork and framing through to interior finishing. We’re looking for an experienced carpenter who wants steady, long-term work with a team that cares about quality and treats people well.

Where this can go

We’re looking for someone who wants to build a future with Hofmann Construction. You’ll work alongside owner and Red Seal carpenter Paul Hofmann to become familiar with our standards and approach, with the goal of taking the lead on smaller PHC projects and helping guide the crew. As your responsibilities grow, your pay will grow too.

Working with us

We spend a lot of our week at work, so having a crew that enjoys working together matters to us. We’re looking for someone positive, approachable, and easy to work with, who communicates clearly and treats clients and their homes with respect. We want to head home feeling good about the day and what we’ve accomplished together.

What you bring

- Several years of residential carpentry experience, including renovations and finish work, beyond framing alone
- Confidence reading plans and working independently
- Reliable attendance, initiative, and clear communication
- Respect for clients, their homes,

and the subtrades you work with
- Pride in your workmanship
- Willingness to help guide an apprentice

Red Seal certification is an asset, but practical experience and demonstrated ability matter most. You don’t need to have been a foreman to apply.

What we offer

- Real room to grow into project and crew leadership
- $42–$52 per hour, based on experience and ability
- Full-time, year-round work, Monday to Friday
- Increased pay as your responsibilities grow
- Vacation pay and five paid sick days
- Direct communication with the owners and a small crew where your contribution matters

A valid driver’s licence, reliable transportation, basic hand tools, and legal entitlement to work in Canada are required.

Interested?

Please send us a message on Indeed or email us at [email protected] and tell us a little about yourself, your residential carpentry experience, and what you’re looking for. A résumé is welcome but not required. If it sounds like we could be a positive fit, we’ll send you a short questionnaire to learn more.
