Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Counter Assistant / Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and food service, with the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant, kitchen, or food handling experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cleaning, and customer service within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Duties

- Assist with food preparation and service as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and dining areas by washing and sanitizing regularly
- Support the kitchen team with basic food handling and preparation tasks
- Ensure all dishes and kitchen tools are properly stored and organized
- Keep the dining area tidy by clearing tables and assisting with general cleaning duties
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
- Assist in serving guests when required,



providing friendly and efficient customer service
- Support other team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Solid teamwork skills with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations or cooking is a plus but not mandatory
- must be a Canadian resident and fluent in English

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.5 per week
